A rapidly growing commercial architectural millwork company which fabricates custom plastic laminate and solid surface cabinets, counter-tops, reception desks, and wall panels seeking a full time Drafting Manager/CNC Programmer. This role requires working with the Project Management team on front-end documents until they are complete and provide CNC programming to production team.

• Produce shop drawings in AutoCAD for submittals.
• Provide CNC programming to maintain production schedules.
• Work closely with Shop Foreman to answer questions and maintain production.
• Manage drafting team to meet production goals and schedules.

This position requires a minimum of 5 years experience in the architectural millwork industry, 5 years experience in CNC programming, and 3 years experience in AutoCAD. The perfect candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, have the ability to visualize fabrication, and the ability to successfully manage a 2-3 member team.

This role requires working with the Senior Manager to provide complete and accurate on-time proposals.

• Print and read blue prints and documents to develop complete architectural millwork scope of work.
• Provide complete and accurate takeoffs.
• Data entry of takeoffs into estimating software/spreadsheets.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Request and obtain proposals from suppliers and subcontractors as required.
• Assist in providing project management team with required documents of awarded projects.

This position is an entry level position but requires one year of blue print and construction document reading experience (or equivalent education).

Commercial Architectural Millwork Installer (Madison Heights, MI)

A rapidly growing commercial architectural millwork company which features custom plastic laminate and solid surface cabinets, countertops, reception desks, and wall panels is seeking a full time experienced cabinet installer.

Responsibilities and Duties

Qualified candidates will:

• Be able to read and interpret drawings, production documents and work from sketches.
• Maintain an excellent attitude and have the ability to work well with others.
• Have all necessary tooling to perform the tasks required.
• Be able to complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
• Strictly adhere to all safety measures.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Be compensated based on experience.
• Be able to work in physically demanding jobs, including standing, kneeling, bending, lifting and working at varying heights.

Qualifications and Skills

Applicant must be an experienced cabinet installer with reliable transportation and on-time work ethics. Must be willing to work nights and weekends when the project requires it.
